We all know economic times are rough. People are losing their jobs left and right. it’s times like these that present a unique opportunity: pursuing your dream. Some people may be facing the prospect of collecting unemployment (or not) while sitting at home watching daytime soaps. Instead of doing nothing and making relatively nothing, there’s no better time to make close to nothing and do something you’re really passionate about, work in the beer industry.
A comment on one of my posts came from beerjobs.org. This seems to be a relatively new website, started around the time of Halloween. So far they’ve put up a handful of postings, which, if you’re located in the areas of those jobs, could be a great opportunity.
No one asked me to post this, but I just really want to encourage the dozens of my readers, I’m assuming many unemployed, to consider taking a shot at working with beer for a living. Nothing says it’s time for a change like when your boss utters those two magical words, “You’re fired.”

You’re right, we are a brand new site, launched on Halloween. We could use all the help we can get spreading the word, so this, and any other help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t know if it’s still up on the board, but a couple of days ago I saw a part time position for a beverage blogger to cover beer, wine, and spirits. I’m sure there’s a ton of bloggers out there right now that are already doing this for free, so it could be a great opportunity. I’ll do a blog post if I can find that link again.
