Who sits down to a desktop computer anymore? We live on our smart phones and tablets. As RateBeerians, we need to be able to check the beer we’re looking at in the store, review the beer we’re drinking at the bar and check the forums for the latest topics anywhere we might be. Here are some ways to stay connected with RateBeer while you’re out an about.
First, lets start with the easiest way to stay connected, the RateBeer.com mobile website. Stripped down of the graphics, the mobile website is as powerful as the desktop version. Be sure to login and have access to your account, beer searches, places, events and forums.

The mobile site works great for all mobile platforms and best of all, is absolutely free.
While that’s nice, some of us like an app designed specifically for our phone. With the numerous mobile platforms available, you’d probably thinking your phone is left out. RateBeer apps are available for Android, iOS, Sybian and Windows Mobile. While BlackBerry users like me will have to stick to the mobile site, here are just a few mobile apps sorted by their operating system:
- Android – RateBeer Android, The Beer Expert
- iOS – RateBeer Places, BeerBuddy
- Windows Mobile – RateOn
- Nokia/Symbian – QuickBeer
Applications in italics are paid apps. Prices vary.
In addition to the existing offerings for mobile platforms, RateBeer is being including in numerous other apps, such as Beachwood BBQ’s app, as well as many others currently in development.
So next time you’re out an about, don’t feel like you have to leave RateBeer at home. Bring us along and rate anywhere you get cell phone service.
